![]() It did work, but it was limited in performance. I first purchased Parallels and used Parallels to run 3ds Max 2009 32bit on my older Mac Book laptop (to test it out, see how it worked). My set-up is With Bootcamp installed Vista Ultimate 64bit (on a 2nd hard drive) > installed 3ds Max 2010 64bit > installed VMware Fusion > imported the Bootcamp Vista w/ Fusion. I've just purchased a new Power Mac ( MacPro4,1, Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 2.26 GHz, 12 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB ). Sorry to hear about the problems Loz, -hope you are having some better luck. I tried getting 3Ds Max 2010 and it said it can't be used on Virtual Machines, if I don't sort this out then I'm in a bit of a mess, if anyone can help me out with this issue I'd greatly appreciate it. When I try and start it, it says the trial has expired on THE VERY DAY I DOWNLOADED IT! I was under the impression it would work, I went to a lot of trouble specifically for this purpose to install new RAM, install Parallels, install Windows XP and then download 3Ds Max 2008 30 day trial. Has anyone had any success using 3Ds Max on a Mac by using Parallels instead of Bootcamp.
